The Word This Week
Mother’s Day…
People who do not know the God of the Bible are frequently known to say Biblical Christianity, (the brand of Christianity which says the Word of God is LITERALLY the Word of God, also known as ‘fundamentalist,’ or even ‘hard-core’ Christianity,) is biased against women, relegating women to a lesser status than men.
While the Bible is patriarchal in its ordering for human relationships, particularly the marriage relationship, the Bible in no way relegates women to second class status. The Bible instead describes clearly defined roles for men and for women which are separate but equal. In fact, the ONLY culture in world history which has produced equality between men and women IS Biblical Christianity. Only in cultures where Jesus is named as Savior of the world is equality between men and women known, even today.
This is obvious but remains somehow obscured from the liberal intelligentsia which seeks to undermine the Word of God and the Lord Jesus Christ, employing supposed ‘inequality’ as a weapon.
How interesting it is these people espousing the views of inequality between men and women they see in a Bible they have never read, (or never read while under the guidance of the Holy Spirit,) feel free criticize the God of the Bible and His Word as ‘chauvinistic.’
Then many of these same people advocate the complete elimination of the differences between men and women for the sake of ‘equality.’ This has been going on for more than a generation, and its fruition is upon us full flower. When a female supreme court justice cannot define what a woman is, and when we are told men can become women by wearing women’s clothes and cutting off body parts and then participating in women’s activities known only for women in the history of the world, including the birthing and nursing of babies, we have not arrived at equality – but denigration.
If a man can become a woman by choosing to pretend to be one, and when a woman’s chief goal in life is to be what only men can be – how does that celebrate or enhance womanhood? It is the profound differences between men and women which celebrates womanhood, and femininity, and brings equality to the role women in the family and in society. It is absolutely true men cannot be women. Women have a status and potential men can never attain, and the Bible clearly defines those differences to the extent there would never be any confusion, or ANY determination by anyone women are less important than men.
