The Word This Week
Revelation 15:1...
All God’s judgements are true and righteous.
This is the assessment of all of heaven.
What remains of mankind has earned - and has no excuse for - the judgment they will receive.
God takes no pleasure in the death of the wicked, because of the finality of eternal judgment.
At some point each man must make a choice for God or against God. God is fully aware of the choice each man makes. To choose against God is to choose against goodness and righteousness and grace and mercy. To choose against God means choosing darkness over light - to choose not to receive the cure for sin, and to remain in the sickness of it.
The wages of sin is death, and eternal death will find all those who choose allegiance to Satan rather than submission to holy God in Christ.
The wrath upon sin God pours out now is based upon man choosing judgment rather than grace. That is a choice mankind has always been free to make, and no one can prevent that choice being made.
And so, with great solemnity, the temple of God in heaven is opened and darkness is about to be enlightened. Mankind and the demonic realm will reap what they have sown, and there will be no exceptions - and no more chances to have a change of mind and heart because God knows they have set their mind and heart to revile God rather than to receive God.
Even in the midst of the greatest turmoil and upheaval in world history, the only offering to God by fallen man is a shaking fist.
